Last night I got home from work to find that all the lights at my house were off. This was puzzling since both Jeff and Andy's vehicals were there, meaning they were likely home. I wondered what they could be doing that there would be no lights on inside at this time of night. I quickly found out. Upon entering the house I noticed that Jeff had cut the studs that were the last divider between the stair well and the kitchen. It now opens up directly and makes the space feel even larger. Quite exciting.Anyway, I walk in and am greated by our two dogs at the top of the stairs and my husband who steps back so I can see the mess of wires coming out of the hole he has cut in the ceiling. All in all, I find myself rather unphased by the greeting. At this point, whats another hole in the wall, or in this case, ceiling.
Jeff spent the rest of the night doing electric work. I sat and watched, drinking a glass of wine. I was going for 'moral support' but I may have come across more as 'lurking shadow who asks too many questions while he tries to concentrate'. Oh well. We had to make a home depot run to put up some recessed lighting kits. It ended up getting too late so completion of the project has been postponed. Again, not really phased. I am excited to see it come together tho. I think once this bit of wiring is done we'll be able to start finishing projects. Namely the laundry room and half bath. That should be exciting.
